SADNESS

The Room of Sadness is a state of being overwhelmed by sadness. The blue yarn wraps everything. My Pearl Tear and Don’t Ignore Me (Rug) are a combination of a blanket wrapped in yarn and rags and a toy chair holding an umbrella. The rug’s texture has a sense of dilapidation, and the yarn is arranged irregularly and tangled. Fabric fragments are piled on it indiscriminately as if trying to repair the blanket. The chair with pearl tears is in the center of the rug, and the yarn flowing from the umbrella is like rain, separating the chair from the outside world. It forms a state of isolation and helplessness, as if sinking into this sad place forever.
